Poonsak Srimuang is the newest addition to the executive level management of the resort set within the lush woodlands of Kamala, Phuket.
With the grand opening in the fourth quarter of 2015 fast approaching, Keemala has been busy putting the final touches on its gastronomic menu. Recently appointed Executive Chef for Keemala, Poonsak Srimuang will lead the culinary team in designing an epicurean delight inspired by the flavours of cuisine from Southern Thailand and Southeast Asian countries along the ancient Ceylon trading routes, and Health Cuisine.
A native of Phuket, Chef Poonsak carries more than 20 years of culinary experience under his belt and is well versed in crafting gastronomic sensations for his guests. Previously, he has been an integral part of several luxury hotels, including most recently the Regent Phuket Cape Panwa, as well as Anantara Phuket Villas & Spa, and JW Marriot Phuket Resort & Spa.
On Chef Poonsak's appointment, General Manager Dominique Ronge says "We're very excited to have Poonsak head our culinary team, and bring our culinary ethos to life".
Keemala's gastronomic experience focuses not only on the distinct tastes of the South, but also on locally sourced, where possible, natural ingredients and wholesome cooking techniques. Spectacular outdoor dining venues by the waterfall or on a hilltop balcony overlooking Kamala woodlands are designed to awake the senses, while the scrumptious menu delights the palate.
